Receives BioSEC Certification
Vista
Imaging’s award winning ViCAM PC Digital Camera
certified for use in multi-biometric application suite.
SAN CARLOS, CA -
Nov. 8, 1999 – Vista Imaging’s popular ViCAM PC Digital Camera has
received certification from the BioSec Laboratories for use in the Bionetrix
Authentication SuiteTM, a standard, open platform utilizing numerous biometric
technologies through a partnership alliance with the dominant companies in the
industry.
The BioSEC (Biometrics for
Secure Enterprise Computing) Alliance is a multi-vendor initiative dedicated to
promoting enterprise authentication solutions that deliver increased security
and reduced cost to customers through the practical, managed use of biometric
technologies. BioSEC Alliance Partner products integrate directly into the
BioSEC framework, allowing customers to centrally manage and configure BioSEC
Certified products using a single enterprise-wide authentication policy. The
BioSEC Alliance is open to all vendors whose products are compliant with the
BioSEC framework.
