Announce Software Bundling Agreement
Vista Imaging’s ViCAM Digital Video Camera to Ship with both
MGI VideoWave SE+ & MGI PhotoSuite SE Software

BELMONT, CA—(October 6, 1997)—Vista Imaging, Inc., a prominent developer of digital cameras and software products, today announced a new software bundling agreement with MGI Software Corp.(TSE:MGI), the leader in PC Photography and Video Publishing software.

Under the terms of the agreement, Vista Imaging will now deliver its ViCAM desktop digital video camera with MGI VideoWave SE+ a customized version of MGI’s VideoWave Video Publishing software, plus a copy of MGI PhotoSuite SE PC Photography software as well.

Vista Imaging’s ViCAM is a parallel-port based, high-resolution desktop digital video camera that produces fast, 30 frames per second video in full color in support of motion video applications, and also features high quality, 24-bit true color still image capture in resolutions ranging from 160 x 120 to 1280 x 960. In addition, ViCAM includes standard TWAIN and AVI drivers, making it compatible with scores of existing off-the-shelf programs available for image capturing/editing, video conferencing/e-mail, and remote site monitoring. ViCAM also features the unique ability to capture images in extremely low light environments, and includes an IEEE-1284 compatible parallel pass-through device to allow printing from the same parallel port without the need to disconnect the camera to access the printer.

MGI VideoWave SE+ for Windows 95 turns a PC into a personal video studio, capable of combining video clips, audio, still images, and graphics to create full motion video productions quickly and easily for home use, business presentations, and the Internet. VideoWave, which was recently awarded a second PC Magazine Editor’s Choice award, includes a variety of sophisticated transitions, the ability to add animated text and video clips, special effects, narration, music, and real-time play back to "tell a story" in video. In addition, VideoWave features the use of a highly visual, intuitive StoryLine approach to video production that is exceptionally easy to learn.

MGI PhotoSuite software is the easiest way to edit, organize and be creative with photos. Using this award-winning program, users can add special effects, improve photo quality, make greeting cards and calendars, arrange photos in albums, and share photos over the Internet. The powerful and versatile PhotoSuite is a complete digital darkroom for PC Photography needs, one that includes over 30 special effects and filters, plus a host of other valuable features including: photo editing tools, a photo lens kit, image capture, slide show, photo albums, and Internet capabilities.
